Morialta falls

As we walked to the falls we saw lots of cheeky blue wrens on the path. Of course, the moment the camera was ready, they left...
Some steep rockfaces from the path
A small sheer rockface.
Another wren shot.
The path moved into a deep gorge.
All over the hills were yakkas.
The Morialta falls.
The waterfall had a nice rainbows formed in the spray.
The classic meta-photo, me taking a picture of grandma taking a picture of the falls.
A closer picture of the falls.
Looking up the falls you can see a yakka that prefered to grow horizonatally.
A nice deliniated yakka(xanthorrhoea quadrangulata).
A shot from the path climbing to the lookout.
Astroloma conostephioides, or firey heath, covered this upper slopes of the adelaide hills.
Mistletoe(in this case, probably amyema pendulosa) is a parasitic plant that draws its sustenence from the host plant(in this case a eucalypt).
A shot of the city from the lookout.
A nicer composed, but poorer quality picture from higher up the path.
arty farty shot from the top.
Looking down the valley you got an idea of the size of the gorge(but pictures never give the same impression).
Here is the bird that says "Ni!"

Here you can see the first two sets of falls.
Once I had made the big plod down again, I tried taking pictures of butterflys. This is the best I managed.
